Kia ora Ben, this is Elle from the Summer Learning Journey.
Thank you for sharing your optical illusions! I think that you and your sister did a great job. I really like that you’ve drawn them by hand and shaded everything in so carefully. I also really like that you’ve put everything together on a colourful background! It’s great that you’ve included some instructions on how you made your optical illusion, because it teaches others how to recreate it!
What did you enjoy the most about this activity? Was there anything that you found interesting or challenging?
Maybe for next time, it would be awesome if you made your picture a little bigger so we can see your cool optical illusions clearly!
Ka pai and keep up the great work - I can’t wait to see more of your blog posts about the activities!
Kia ora Elle, I just got back from my awesome holyday, I learned how to steer a Kayak I went zooming all over the place. Now about my post. *sigh* The most thing that I enjoyed was convincing my mum and dad that it would be fun for Millie. (my sister that did it with me) And I am on a Toshiba laptop which is mine that I use to make you tube videos on. (here is the link) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jw9T6OrXyts (copy and past on a new tab) Ok again time to get on with it! As I was saying I had to zoom in a little and a take the screenshot by doing windows-G and doing all the digging into my mind and remembering what my class Tec teacher told me to do. And yes next time I will do the Picher closer o_o, . Ma te wa! from Ben
I’m glad you had fun on your holiday, it sounds like an amazing time. I’m stoked to hear that you learned how to use a kayak - kayaking is my favourite summer activity! I went kayaking on Christmas day and I did lots of zooming around too! It’s great fun isn’t it?
Did you go kayaking at a beach, a lake, or in a river? Rivers are my favourite place to go kayaking in, because the current of the water propels you forward, making you go extra fast!
That’s so cool that your favourite part of making your illusion was getting to work with your sister! That is some neat teamwork and it’s always nice to have the company too.
Wow, it sounds like you put a lot of work into taking your screenshot! Well done for remembering the tips your teacher gave you; sometimes it can be hard to remember so many instructions, so ka pai!
You and your sister Millie did a fantastic job on your optical illusion - keep up the awesome work Ben!
Hello Elle, yes I went kayaking I know it is your favorite by looking at you on the SLJ blog! I was actually in south island with my cousin's, I was at a river but I cant remember the name of the river... Now that made me addictive , I have been asking to do the surf club by the each because one of my friends do it! Did you look at my channel too?
That’s right, I completely forgot that kayaking was in my bio. Good spotting! That is awesome that you went kayaking in the river, and that’s okay that you can’t remember the name, as there are lots of rivers in New Zealand!
Kayaking is definitely addictive - especially once you get into the rhythm of it! I like that it’s so much fun, but also great exercise at the same time. It gives my upper arms a really good work-out. That sounds so exciting; the surf club would be a great way to get more involved in kayaking!
I did have a look at your channel! It is so awesome to see that you’re writing a book! And I think that is a very fair price for your work too.
hello again Elle, I know my channel is very cool I will put the link to the book now. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1h8_ZJgaGPNfJkQQ6y51f_aTEMjxg1Z8FmyMVwmpoD5c/edit#heading=h.avejuvo6xssw And when ever I go kayaking my tum tum fells a bit weird so I have to lie in my bed. from ben
Your channel is very cool, I left a like on your video you shared with me!
Unfortunately, I don't have access to your link, but if you feel comfortable sharing it with me, I would love to read it! What kind of story is it? Science fiction, adventure, or something else?
That is understandable, kayaking can make my tum-tum feel off too! Especially because floating on the water for too long can feel a little bit like sea-sickness!
Have you seen the recent SLJ activities? There are lots of new ones with different kinds of things to do, I especially think you would like the song-writing one, since you are so great on the guitar! The link to it is here if you want to check it out! It would be great to see you continuing with the activities, because you are so great at blogging!
Hi Ben my name is Reece from Glenbrae school. I like your optical illusion. Thank you for telling me how to make it. Keep up the good work.
